Last Sunday we were out enjoying our “wee boat” , but as we started looking at the water with a sharp eye, disappointment settled in. Within 5 minutes we managed to do 4 scoops with a swimming pool net we had on board for that purpose, while sailing at 2 knots.
The current driven plastic wasn’t visible at first sight, one of the alarming factors was that each scoop contained very small polystyrene balls.
Caught this weekend: old cigarette butts, old sanitary pad, polystyrene, bubble wrap, bottle lids, plastic bags and much more….
